Special services and clinics
Baby Clinic
All new babies are invited for their six week check; this is usually done when your baby is eight weeks old. You should make an appointment to see both the doctor and the nurse. Your baby will have a full physical examination, a review of general progress and given immunisations; any parental concerns you may have will also be considered and discussed.
Child Immunisations
Child immunisation is offered to all children between 0-5 years old. It is very important for them to have all their routine childhood immunisations as this is the most effective way of keeping them protected against infectious diseases. Ideally, children should have their jabs at the right age to protect them as early as possible and minimize the risk of infection. Please book a regular appointment with the nurse.
Antenatal/Postnatal care
The doctors and practice nurses are available for consultation, by appointment as required.
Chronic Conditions
NPHC, asthma, diabetes, high BP, heart disease, contraceptive advice, diet, exercise and smoking – we offer regular check-ups, advice and support.
Cervical smears
A smear test is advised every three years (or more frequently if indicated) for all women between 25 and 64 who are, or have been, sexually active. You will be invited to attend by letter. If you do not receive such a letter, please see the Practice Nurse.
